Day 1 - Beijing
Today, arrive at the airport, meet your Viking Representative and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or begin exploring the city on your own. Your Viking Tour Director is available to help you plan your time in Beijing so you can make the most of your visit.

Day 2 - Beijing
This morning, you may choose to take an optional excursion to visit the Summer Palace, a UNESCO Site, or stroll Beijing’s narrow alleys, or hutongs. This afternoon, head to Tiananmen Square, an area of great cultural significance that has witnessed some of Chinese history’s most dramatic events. Then, visit the Forbidden City, where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties ruled for more than five centuries. Tonight, dine at your hotel or enjoy an optional Peking duck dinner. (B)

Day 3 - Beijing
Today, continue your exploration of UNESCO Sites. Visit a section of the iconic Great Wall, a series of fortifications built over many centuries to protect China from invaders. After lunch, you will head to the Ming Tombs, a collection of imposing mausoleums built by Ming emperors. Tonight, enjoy dinner at your hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Beijing (Tianjin)
This morning, check out of your hotel and transfer to your ship to begin your cruise. Alternatively, you may choose to take an optional excursion to the Temple of Heaven, a sacred imperial complex renowned for its grand architecture and serene gardens, before boarding your ship. (B)
